Who am I

LAURENCE RAMÈS - DE MOERS

In love with the elements, being and living at sea is my passion.

Sharing this experience is my mission.

With a background in the merchant navy, I have worked as a skipper for over 25 years. I started with passenger transport on the water taxi on Île de Porquerolles, which often involved towing, rescues, medical evacuations, and transporting funds.

I learned from sailors like Pierre Guillaume, with whom I sailed my first transatlantic race in 1996. I also worked as an assistant and preparer for Bertrand de Broc, Florence Artaud, and Yvon Fauconnier for the Solo Figaro Méditerranée, the Transat Jacques Vabre, and the Route du Rhum.

I have sailed many miles on various types of boats, such as the 15m gaff-rigged Mariska from 1908, but also Eva, another cutter designed by William Fife, and Ester, a 1901 design by G. Melgren.

I have won numerous trophies in classic yacht races as part of a crew, including Les Voiles d'Antibes and St. Tropez, the Porquerolles Classic, the Bailli de Suffren Trophy, and the Yacht Club de France Autumn Cup, to name just a few.

My diplomas :

Gain or regain self-confidence, perform all maneuvers in safety and plan your navigation in all weathers. I will help you take the steps. As today, I remain in awe by the beauty that surrounds us and that sailing offers me, and my desire is to share it with you.

Welcome aboard !
